A detailed written brief covering the fit, flow and feel of the current space, as well as an outline of possible solutions.

Conceptual Design
Even if you are only renovating the kitchen, it is a good idea to have an overall plan for your house. Can you imagine renovating your kitchen and then a few years later wishing it was different?! A conceptual layout design is also a good starting point prior to engaging an architect, drafts person or builder. My experience working with builders gives me a strong understanding of what can be achieved on your budget.

A conceptual plan showing existing layout with sticking points, and proposed concept/s. Drawings are to scale so can be used to obtain quotes.

Project Detailing
When you are ready to get the project on the go, detailed plans are essential for builders, electricians and cabinet makers. Please only cabinet and non-structural renovation plans can be provided. For other plans, drafting and engineering will be required.
Dimensioned Plans
Construction Plans suitable for non-structural building works and ordering cabinets*. All dimensions should be checked by builder/cabinetmaker prior to construction.
*Some cabinet makers will require a finishes schedule. See rate below.

FINISHES SCHEDULE
Documenting all details prior to commencing work is imperative to ensuring your build runs smoothly. This schedule then allows for builders to quote more accurate, reducing the likely hood of costly variations throughout the build.

3D Detailed rendering
Play with colours and materials to get a strong sense of the finished product. Many cabinet makers request a 3D view to help correctly interpret the plans and specifications.

If you are fussy about where your lights are switched from and how many powerpoints you need then don’t leave electrical details to the whim of the electrician.
